  1. Measure the footprint.
    Length × width, converted to square feet when meters are selected.
  2. Apply pitch.
    The rise/run multiplier converts flat footprint into sloped roof area.
  3. Add waste once.
    Waste applies after sloped area and before material quantity.
  4. Round the purchase quantity.
    Adjusted roofing squares × bundles per square is rounded up to a whole bundle.
